Ukrainian army takes control of Yasynuvata in Donetsk region - Poroshenko

The 95th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has taken control of the district center of Yasynuvata in Donetsk region, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"The Ukrainian flag has been raised! The National Guard is completing the search for and elimination of some militant groups," reads a statement posted on the Vkontakte page of the Ukrainian president.

The report says that the freed district center has a strategic importance.
