The 65 people who were arrested for seizing the Kharkiv regional administration building have been notified by prosecutors of being suspected of mass disturbances.
"All the 65 people who were apprehended inside the Kharkiv regional administration building have been served written suspicions of committing a crime under Article 294 part one of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (mass disturbances)," said a spokesperson for the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
An inquiry is under way, with questions and examinations of video material, the spokesperson said, citing Oleksandr Shevchenko, the acting head of department in the regional prosecutor's office. Investigators and prosecutors are now writing to the judges who will decide whether those arrested should be kept in custody or released.
On April 8 the Ukrainian police arrested 65 people who had previously occupied the building of the regional administration.
