Russian Border Service does not confirm or deny reports of Yanukovych entering Russia
The Russian Border Service knows nothing about former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych crossing the border of the Russian Federation.
"The border service does not conduct a name list of individuals crossing the Russian border in line with the law on the state border. Therefore we cannot either confirm or refute such information," a spokesman for the Border Service told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
He said that the Federal Migration Service can have information about the whereabouts of foreigners in Russian territory as it is responsible for the matter.
Previously some media quoting sources reported that on Monday night Yanukovych crossed the Russian border, later arrived in Moscow and is now staying in Moscow region.
