Ukraine's leading airspace sector enterprises will present a number of promising programs of international cooperation at the MAKS 2009 international aerospace show in Zhukovsky on August 18-23
The industry's potential will be represented by the state-run Yuzhne Design Bureau, the Yuzhmash Production Association (both based in Dnipropetrovsk region), the National Space Facilities Control and Test Center (Eupatoria, Crimea), the state-run Arsenal plant (Kyiv) and the OJSC Research Institute for Radio Engineering (Kharkiv), the National Space Agency of Ukraine (NSAU) reported.
In particular, Dnepr, Zenit-3SL and Zenit-3SLB launch vehicles, Ukraine's Sich-2 remote sensing satellite, the upgraded RD 861K engine for Cyclone-4 rocket carrier and superlight and ultrastrong titanium landing gear for the An-148 and An-140 aircraft will be displayed at the air show.
Apart from this, the RT-70 radio telescope, which together with Russian ground facilities and spacecraft will be involved into the Phobos-Grunt and RadioAstron international projects, the Ukrainian groumg system of navigation support basing on the Russian GLONASS system will be exhibited at the show.
Besides, Yuzhne Design Bureau will present a unique space project on producing and using concentrated solar power on the Earth, the NSAU reported.
