Several thousand Regions Party activists continue rally in support of Yanukovych
Another rally "Let's Build a Europe in Ukraine" bringing together several thousand supporters of the Party of Regions and the government is under way in Kyiv's Mariyinsky Park.
An Interfax correspondent reports that speakers express their support for the policies of the president, favor the peaceful settlement of the current situation in Ukraine and denounce the actions of opposition leaders aimed at splitting the Ukrainian society.
The Regions Party's press service reports that over 15,000 people are taking part in the rally. Parliamentarians, Regions Party faction members, activists are addressing the public.
An action in support of President Viktor Yanukovych began on December 3 in the park outside of the Ukrainian parliament at the Regions Party's initiative. Organizers say the action will continue until the Euromaidan protest rally on Kyiv's Independence Square in support of Ukraine's European integration is over.
The city police say there were some 3,000 people in the park on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a large-scale action is due on Independence Square on Sunday with thousands of new participants coming to Kyiv from the regions.
There were 10,000-15,000 people on Independence Square on Saturday.
