Ukraine's relations with EU could proceed under Serbian scenario - State Duma deputy

The events in Ukrainian and Serbian history are alike, head of the Russian State Duma committee for foreign affairs Alexei Pushkov said.

"This is how it was in Serbia as well: people in the streets, 'Away with Milosevic!' [former Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milosevic]. And now poverty is there, the economy has ground to a halt and [Serbia] has not joined the European Union. The same will happen with Ukraine," Pushkov tweeted on December 2.
