Ukraine poorly uses possibility of protecting interests of its economy through WTO, says Poroshenko
Ukraine should more efficiently use the possibility of protecting its economic interests through the World Trade Organization (WTO), owner of Roshen Corporation Petro Poroshenko considers.
"Work on using the WTO mechanisms to protect the interests of the Ukrainian economy, Ukrainian manufacturer should be done all the time. Today we do not use even 10% of the opportunities the WTO offers to us," Poroshenko said at a meeting of industrialists with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, according to the Web site of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Nord Group President Valentyn Landyk, in turn, also noted the importance of protecting rights at the WTO.
"We need to appeal to the WTO. We have no problems with Europe. Today we have problems with the Customs Union," he said.
