Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will on November 5 chair a plenary sitting of the Council of National and Foreign Investors entitled "Investments into the Development of Economy and Social Sector under Free Trade Area's Action with the European Union."

As the president's press service reported on Monday, executive secretary of the Council of National and Foreign Investors Andriy Honcharuk said that during the sitting, the participants will analyze the work of the council members in the intersession period, and determine for next year the priority directions for the cooperation of the authorities and businesses that work in this consulting mechanism.

According to Honcharuk, a special attention will be paid to ways to increase the volume of investment and stir up the economic activities under expected temporary use of the statements of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU regarding deeper and comprehensive free trade area.

"We plan to discuss today's current issues of the economic development of the country, to resolve which joint steps by the authorities and business representatives are necessary to further improve the national investment climate," Honcharuk said.
