Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych plans to visit China in December 2013.
"I'm looking forward to the December meeting," Yanukovych said during a meeting with the leader in the Communist Party of China, Liu Yunshan, in Kyiv on Friday.
"I plan to visit the Republic of China this year to hold talks with the leadership of China - President Xi Jinping and Vice Premier Li Keqiang," Yanukovych said.
The president said that Ukraine wished to intensify its relations with China and expressed the hope that his visit would help strengthen the dialogue at the highest level.
Yanukovych said he expected a treaty of friendship and a program for the development of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and China for 2013-2017 to be signed during his visit.
"I hope that these documents will be signed during my visit," he said.
