The Czech Republic, which has granted political asylum to former Ukrainian Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn, has given the green light to investigative actions against the former official.
In an interview with the Segodnya newspaper, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Liliya Frolova said that certain investigative actions with the participation of Ukrainian investigators were held in the Czech Republic, as Prague had given its consent to this.
She added that Danylyshyn was being questioned by the Czech law enforcement officers in the presence of Ukrainian investigators. She also refuted speculation that the ex-minister was questioned by Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka.

At the same time, Interfax-Ukraine has not yet managed to get a comment in the Prosecutor General's Office as to the matters, about which Danylyshyn is being interrogated.
As reported, Danylyshyn, who served as economy minister in the government of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in 2007-2010, was put on the national and international wanted list in August 2010. He was detained in the Czech Republic at Interpol's request on October 19.
The Czech Republic granted political asylum to Danylyshyn. The Ukrainian side had insisted on his extradition.
On March 1, the Interior Ministry said that the criminal case against the ex-minister was closed on December 12, 2012 due to the absence of evidence of a crime. Danylyshyn was removed from the international wanted list.
