Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has urged the parliament to adopt a package of bills necessary for the signing of the association agreement with the EU as soon as possible.
"We need to speed up the implementation of the reform program, in particular, to complete the reform of the judicial system, the prosecution agencies and the Interior Ministry. I suggest the parliament should pass the relevant package of bills as soon as possible. Together, we should take all the necessary steps for the effective implementation of the new Criminal Procedure Code, the legislation on the legal profession... We should ensure the adoption of the laws envisaged in the action plan for the liberalization of the EU visa regime for Ukraine," the head of state said speaking in parliament after the grand opening of the third session.
