The National Bank of Ukraine has sold $197.5 million on a foreign currency auction on November 26, 2008, the NBU said in a statement.
"The overall amount of bids filed by market operators for the auction was $503.4 million… The overall amount of the bids which were met is $197.5 million," reads the report.
According to the NBU, the highest rate set by bidders was UAH 6.90 per U.S. dollar and the lowest one was UAH 5.98 per U.S. dollar.
The average weighted rate at the auction was UAH 6.77 per U.S. dollar and the minimum one was UAH 6.74 per U.S. dollar.
"The share of the bids which were satisfied at the minimum [forex] rate registered at the auction was 42.3% of the overall amount of the satisfied bids," reads the report.
