Russian football club Moskva and 56-year-old Ukrainian coach Oleh Blokhin have dissolved their contract by mutual consent, the official Web site of UEFA reported on Thursday.
Blokhin joined the club last December on a three-year contract, but was sacked after the club finished ninth in the Russian league, failing to win a place in European club competitions. On Wednesday, November 26, Blokhin met with newly elected President of FC Moskva Igor Dmitriyev and a decision was taken to cancel the contract with the Ukrainian coach.
"A coaching life is full of such events, but I don't think ninth place was a bad result," Blokhin said.
