Nearly 30,000 law enforcers to do policing during Orthodox Easter Vigil in Ukraine
Some 28,600 police officers and more than 607 servicemen of the interior troops of Ukraine's Internal Affairs Ministry will maintain public order during church services on Orthodox Easter Sunday, according to the ministry's Web site.
On May 4-5, Easter services will be held in more than 15,400 churches across Ukraine. The largest number of law-enforcers will concentrate in Crimea, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Poltava, Rivne and Ternopil regions, the Interior Ministry said.
Some, 1,400 policemen will watch over 125 places of worship in Kyiv.
In addition, some 10,000 rescuers will be keeping vigil outside churches during Easter services.
