Blackseafor ships arrive in Sevastopol

Ships participating in the next rotation of the Blackseafor Black Sea Naval Cooperation Task Group, which is running from April 5 to April 23, arrived at the port of Sevastopol on April 19, the press center of the Ukrainian Navy's command has told Interfax-Ukraine.

In Sevastopol, sailors of the Ukrainian Navy met and helped moor a Bulgarian Navy corvette, the Reshitelni, a Georgian Navy patrol boat, the Sukhumi, a large landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the Novocherkassk, a Romanian Navy frigate, the Macellariu, a Turkish Navy frigate, the Heybeliada, and a Ukrainian Navy sea trawler, the Cherkasy, at the dock of the Kurinaya Bay.

According to the program of the visit, Ukrainian Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Yuriy Ilyin, met with the command of the Blackseafor task group.

Ilyin also said he was satisfied with the development of friendly relations as part of the Blakseafor agreement.

"Blackseafor is a very important agreement, and its practical implementation contributes to the maintenance of peace and stability in the Black Sea region," he said at the meeting.
