The passengers who will fail to fly to Kyiv due to the cancellation of the Bangkok-Kyiv flight by Aerosvit Airlines will be accommodated in a hotel and provided with food, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service has quoted the company's representatives as saying.
Kyiv-based Aerosvit Airlines cancelled its flight to Bangkok (Thailand) scheduled for 1400. The company took the decision due to the escalated situation at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.
The hotel that will accept the passengers is located near the site of mass protests.
The Ukrainian Embassy in Thailand is currently taking measures to identify the exact number of Ukrainian citizens who are temporarily stranded in Thailand and to provide assistance to them, if necessary.
The Thai opposition blocked Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi International Airport during an anti-government rally on Tuesday evening. Around 3,000 tourists, including some 200 Russian citizens, remain at the airport.
According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, there are no Ukrainian citizens at the city's airports.
