The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, will consider the dismissal of Yuriy Yekhanurov as defense minister next plenary week if the heads of parliamentary factions back the consideration of this question at a conciliatory council meeting on Monday.
"[The heads of factions] will submit [this question] or insist [on its consideration] at a conciliatory council. If there are 226 votes in a show of hands by representatives of factions, this question will be put on the agenda of the plenary week," Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn said at a press conference in Sumy on Friday.
