Libya ready to deliver 600,000 tonnes of oil to Kremenchuk oil refinery, says Tymoshenko

Libya is ready to supply up to 600,000 tonnes of oil to Ukraine for Kremenchuk oil refinery (operated by CJSC Ukrtatnafta, Poltava region), Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said before a government meeting on Wednesday.

"We have clearly agreed that they [Libya] will supply 600,000 tonnes of oil to Ukraine for the Kremenchuk oil refinery," she said.

As reported, Kremenchuk oil refinery in 2008 processed 2.708 million tonnes of oil, which was 51.8% down on the 2007 figure. Oil supplies were 2.412 million tonnes.

Kremenchuk oil refinery is operated by CJSC Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk, Poltava region), the management of which since October 2007 has been controlled by shareholders of PrivatBank (Dnipropetrovsk).

The capacity of the plant is 18.62 million tonnes a year.
