MP Viacheslav Kyrylenko, leader of the For Ukraine! group of the Our Ukraine-People's Self Defense faction, has called on president Viktor Yuschenko to sign the law introducing a ban on gambling business in Ukraine, the presidential press service reported.
"I have officially asked Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko to sign the law banning gambling business," Kyrylenko said at a press conference in Lutsk on Tuesday.
According to him, gambling business is restricted all over the world. That is why, when the Verkhovna Rada was considering this bill it decided that over three months the parliament Rada should work out the law, which will give a list of places and areas, where the gambling businesses could operate, he said.
"Until this moment the gambling business will be banned in Ukraine. I believe this is the right decision, as if this law hadn't been passed, then even in three months there would be no law localizing the gambling business and laying down the rules for its licensing," Kyrylenko stressed.
