President soon to sign decree helping small businesses during crisis

Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has said he is planning soon to sign a decree on certain issues of eliminating administrative obstacles to holding entrepreneurial activity amid the global financial crisis.

"I ordered the completion of a draft decree. I should sign it within two or three days," he said at the "Power and Business – Partners" forum in Kyiv on Monday.

The document foresees that by September 1, proposals should put forward regarding new wording of the law on a national program for supporting the development of small entrepreneurship in Ukraine. The draft decree also foresees that proposals on the implementation of national, local and regional programs for the development of small entrepreneurship should be drafted and submitted by October 1.
