European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule has said that the latest actions by the Ukrainian authorities show Kyiv's intentions to fulfill the requirements put forward in the December conclusions of the EU Council in order to sign the association agreement.
"Yesterday's presidential decree including the establishment of a high level national coordination to oversee the implementation of the necessary steps as set out in the December Foreign Affairs Council Conclusions, the recent Statement of the Ukrainian Parliament and Regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers on European agenda's priorities show that there is determination in Kyiv to achieve the objectives," he said at a European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
At the same time, Fule noted the importance "to ensure throughout the process that there is no gap between our expectations."
