Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara and Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Ambassador Jan Tombinski, have discussed the current key issues of relations between Ukraine and the EU, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reported on Friday.
Kozhara confirmed the unchanged EU integration course of Ukraine and outlined the key areas of the government's activity in the context of implementing reforms aimed at bringing the country closer to the EU.
The sides also discussed preparations for the signing of the association agreement and the prospects for the introduction of the visa-free regime. They agreed to deepen cooperation in all areas of bilateral cooperation.
"The sides supported the expediency of intensifying the political dialog between Ukraine and the EU at all levels and discussed the schedule of bilateral contacts in the near future, including in the context of preparations for the 16th EU-Ukraine summit, which is scheduled for February 25, 2013 in Brussels," reads the statement.
