Ukrainian and Russian Foreign Ministers Leonid Kozhara and Sergei Lavrov will chair the seventh meeting of the subcommittee on international cooperation of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission in Chernivtsi on January 14, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.
"During the meeting it is planned to discuss the activity of the structural bodies of the subcommittee, in particular, sub-commissions on the fight against new challenges and threats, cross-border and consular cooperation, the settlement of regional conflicts in the context of Ukraine's chairmanship of the OSCE, as well as cooperation in the international arena," the press service said.
Particular attention will be paid to the economic component of Ukrainian-Russian partnership, in particular, the ways of Ukraine’s cooperation with the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the press service said.
It is planned to sign a final protocol of the meeting of the subcommittee and a plan on cooperation between the foreign ministries of Ukraine and Russia in 2013.
