Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has guaranteed the stable transit of Russian gas to Europe.
"NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy will work as a reliable partner of Russia and the European Union in the transit of gas to Europe," she said while opening a government meeting in Kyiv on Monday dedicated to the implementation of memorandums with steelmaking and chemical plants, and agreements with coal enterprises and farms.
"We have never once broken our obligations on transit in all these years. This year we can [transit gas] much better than in any previous year," Tymoshenko said.
She also noted "the absolutely stable situation in NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy and its paying capacity.
"Ukraine is a reliable partner and transit will be fulfilled," Tymoshenko said in an interview with journalists.
