Russia is spending about EUR 340 billion on the war, while Ukraine is spending EUR 140 billion, so we need to make the war painful for Russia itself, so that Russian society feels the impact and pushes Putin toward negotiations.
"So if we want to bring this war back to Russia and make it painful for them – truly, so that their society feels the impact and puts pressure on Putin – I think this is one of the tools to push Putin toward negotiations. So we need the same competitive number [of drones], not money, because they have twice as much money today. They’re spending even more, about 340, on the war," Zelenskyy said at a press conference following the Coalition of the Willing summit in Kyiv on Monday.
The president added that Ukraine is spending EUR 140 billion on the war, so it is necessary to be competitive in terms of the number of long-range strikes.
