The number of people injured in a Russian strike on Chernihiv has risen to 20, said Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv regional military administration.
"We already know of 20 injured people. Among them are two children, aged 12 and 17. A 17-year-old girl and an older woman have been hospitalized – the woman is in serious condition. Another 18 people received medical assistance and are being treated on an outpatient basis," Chaus wrote on his Telegram channel.
He added that rescuers have now extinguished the fire caused by a Russian drone strike on an apartment building, and noted that the building was damaged.
According to preliminary information from bomb disposal experts, the Russians used a Geran-5 drone.
"Another cynical act by the Russians – launching a drone in broad daylight right into the center of Chernihiv. Right at people," Chaus said.
Earlier, 17 people were reported injured.
