Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Onyx anti-ship missiles, six Kh-31P and Kh-59 guided air missiles, as well as 143 strike drones including Shahed, Gerbera, S8000 Banderol types and Parodiya decoy drones on the night of August 24, the Ukrainian Air Force Command said.
"According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defenses shot down or suppressed an Onyx anti-ship missile, two Kh-31P and Kh-59 guided air missiles, two S8000 Banderol missiles, as well as 109 enemy drones, including Shahed and Gerbera types and drones of other types in the south, north, and east of the country," it said on Telegram.
Hits by enemy air attack weapons were recorded at 22 locations, and fallen debris was recorded at five locations. In addition, some of the enemy missiles did not reach their targets, with information on them currently being updated.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
