Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yevhen Khmara, during a meeting with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, stated that U.S. support is critically important for protecting Ukraine, and Washington can help end the war on Kyiv’s terms.
"U.S. support is critically important for protecting our people. The United States can help stop this war on Ukraine’s terms," Khmara stated.
According to him, during the meeting, the parties also discussed the long-term and mutually beneficial relationship between Ukraine and the United States, the situation on the front line, current threats, and the changes Ukraine is implementing to increase the effectiveness of its struggle.
Separately, Khmara emphasized the need to further restrict Russia’s financial capabilities, which, according to him, directly affects the Russian’s ability to continue the war.
"This directly impacts the aggressor’s ability to continue the war," the minister noted.
