Ukraine will no longer allow the RF to seize the initiative and will be ready for the mobilization planned in the aggressor state, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy states.
"Russia does not want peace – it wants mobilization. Well, we take this level-headedly. We act. We must reinforce our military, have everything to hold the defense. Warriors must be provided and equipped with everything to turn the replenishment of the enemy army into fertilizer for our land," Zelenskyy said in a greeting to the citizens of Ukraine on Independence Day on Monday morning.
He noted that the Russian leadership "still looks at an old-style Ukraine – one that will remain silent, swallow it, endure it," but "there is no such Ukraine anywhere anymore." "Our state has long been different. Not an observer, but a player. Not a victim, but a fighter. We will not let them seize the initiative, deceive Europe and the whole world into thinking that we just need to give up the Donbas and everything will end quickly. There are no illusions. There is no trust in them. We will not save half a million soldiers for the Kremlin. Russia constantly postpones the dates when it is ‘about to’ and will ‘definitely’ capture the entire Donetsk region. It will keep postponing them further. Ukraine is different and does not give away what is ours," the President emphasized.
The Head of the Ukrainian State stressed that the leader of the RF has never understood Ukrainians, and "now he won’t have time to." "You wanted to take all of our Ukraine, all of our land; instead, you lost your oil refineries, fleet, your profits, and an entire generation of yours that you put into the meat grinder. You wanted us off the map; now you are absent from the international agenda of future civilization. For twenty-seven years, the boss of Russia has been talking about greatness, while Russia stands in lines for gasoline," Zelenskyy stated.
