The United States and Ukraine have reached an agreement on monthly deliveries of missiles for the Patriot system, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Who possesses anti-missile missiles and systems? First and foremost, they are manufactured by the United States of America. Can they help? We are working on it. Will they supply us with missiles every month? Yes. We have the relevant agreements in place," Zelenskyy said during a press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade.
"Are there enough of these missiles? No," he added.
Zelenskyy also said the number of these missiles has decreased significantly compared to 2025. The head of state also added that Germany and Poland have such missiles and can also provide them to Ukraine. Other countries are also helping – the Netherlands and the Nordic countries.
"Who has them? The Germans have them, the Poles have them. These are the ones who can provide serious assistance. With all due respect and gratitude to the German side, they have truly helped. And Poland has helped as well. But I’ll be frank. We’re constantly working with the Nordic countries and the Netherlands; they’re helping little by little. Every day, I communicate with various countries in Europe and the Middle East to ensure that Ukraine receives additional aid packages outside of the PURL framework," Zelenskyy said.
"We’ve simply reached the point where all of our institutions must be working on this. Not just the president. Everyone must work. Otherwise, we won’t have enough missiles. South Korea and Japan could also help. Did they help us with air defense during this war? No. In accordance with their domestic laws. People often ask about Israel. We’d also like to receive air defense systems from them. We’d be willing to buy them. We don’t have that option yet. Although we’re in talks," he said.
