Russia launches 6 ballistic, S-400 missiles, 151 UAVs; strikes recorded at 12 locations – Air Force
On Saturday, the enemy attacked Ukraine with six ballistic missiles and S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, as well as 151 attack UAVs; 135 enemy UAVs were shot down or neutralized; missile strikes and 13 attack UAVs were recorded at 12 locations, and debris from downed UAVs was found at seven locations, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of August 8 (starting at 06:00 on August 7), the enemy launched an attack using six Iskander-M ballistic missiles and S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from Bryansk region, as well as 151 Shahed-type strike UAVs (including jet-powered ones), Gerber, Italmas, and Parody-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia; Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory); and Hvardiiske – Crimea (temporarily occupied territory)," according to a Telegram post.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 135 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Missile strikes and 13 attack UAVs were recorded at 12 locations, and debris from downed UAVs was found at seven locations. Additionally, several missiles failed to reach their targets; details are being clarified.
The attack is ongoing, with enemy UAVs in the airspace, according to the Air Force.
