Russian attack kills three, incl child, in Brovary district
Three people, including a child, were killed, and three others, including a child, were injured as a result of an enemy attack in Brovary district of Kyiv region, according to Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko.
"As of now, the effects of the enemy attack have been recorded at three locations in the Brovary district. Unfortunately, three people were killed, including a child. Three others were injured, including a child," Tkachenko said on Telegram early Saturday morning.
According to him, falling debris damaged a private residential building, outbuildings, and vehicles. A fire also broke out on the grounds of a non-residential building.
Rescue workers and all necessary emergency services are on the scene, and efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.
"Russia continues to terrorize the civilian population. Our task now is to quickly address the consequences, assist the victims, and ensure people’s safety," the administration’s head said.
Under the procedural guidance of Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime resulting in loss of life (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the prosecutor’s office, at approximately 00:40, five enemy UAVs struck a private residence in the village of Pukhivka. The two-story residential building was completely destroyed, and a fire broke out. Outbuildings and two cars were also destroyed. A three-year-old boy and his grandparents were killed. The child’s parents sustained shrapnel wounds and burns.
The 15-year-old older brother, who suffered burns, was hospitalized in the intensive care unit. A 21-year-old neighbor, who came to the family’s aid after the strike, was also injured.
