Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ivan Vyhivsky discussed the situation on the front line and the strengthening of material and technical support for fighters with units of the National Guard and the Border Guard Service.
"Kharkiv region. First business trip as Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. First of all, I met with servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, who, together with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, are holding positions in this region," the minister reported on his Telegram channel on Friday.
He emphasized: "Despite constant Russian assaults and changing enemy tactics, Guardsmen and border guards have achieved significant successes. And here we are talking not only about Kharkiv region, but about the entire front line."
According to Vyhivsky, over the past week alone, units of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service (DPSU) destroyed or damaged: 3 tanks, 149 artillery systems, 809 units of automotive and special equipment, 64 ammunition and fuel depots, and 4,982 enemy drones.
The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that behind every statistical figure is great work, courage, and heroism of the servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
Vyhivskyi specified that he held a lengthy conversation with commander of the 1st NGU Corps Azov Denys "Redis" Prokopenko, first deputy commander – chief of staff of the 2nd NGU Corps Khartiia Maksym Holubok, and also heard reports from the head of the Special Purpose Center Omega of the NGU and heads of the Eastern Directorates of the NGU and DPSU.
In this context, he stressed: "We discussed not only the situation on the front line, but also issues requiring prompt resolution. First of all – strengthening material and technical support. Relevant instructions to specialized units have already been issued."
The minister summarized that during the war, combat units within the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine have become among the most effective.
