The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported strikes overnight into Friday on an early warning radar station in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, UAV repeaters, and other facilities of the occupiers.
"On the night of August 7, 2026, as part of reducing the offensive potential of the Russian aggressor, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck an early warning radar station near Olenivka and a storage, preparation, and launch site for strike UAVs in the Hvardiyske area. Both facilities are located in temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea," reads the report by the General Staff.
The General Staff also reported that strikes on two ground-based control repeaters for "Geran"/"Gerbera" type strike UAVs were confirmed – in Olenivka (AR Crimea) and Zaliznyi Port (Kherson region).
It is noted that ground-based repeaters ensure stable communication and command transmission between operators and strike unmanned aerial vehicles, increasing the range and effectiveness of their application.
In addition, the defense forces struck a POL (petroleum, oil, and lubricants) depot of the enemy in the Melitopol area and a repair unit of the occupational forces near Yakymivka, Zaporizhzhia region.
