A new building of the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center, designed for 55 patients who sustained severe war injuries, opened in Lviv on Thursday, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy said.

"The first patients are already undergoing rehabilitation. A modern space has been created here for long-term rehabilitation, including wards, physical and occupational therapy rooms, psychological support offices and everything needed for multidisciplinary teams to work," he wrote on Telegram.

One of the teaching buildings of UNBROKEN University’s medical school will also operate in the building, according to the mayor. Future doctors, physical therapists and other specialists will train alongside the clinic to gain practical experience in rehabilitation, he said.

Sadovy thanked the people of Taiwan for financial support of the project, as well as builders, engineers, medical staff and all the teams who, despite the heat and grueling pace of work, did everything possible to open the building to its first patients as quickly as possible.
