On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, Kyiv will provide one-time targeted financial assistance to almost 255,000 Kyivans amounting to UAH 146 million, reports the Official Portal of Kyiv on Thursday.
"Assistance will be received by socially vulnerable Kyivans and internally displaced persons registered and actually residing in the capital. In total, Kyiv will provide assistance to almost 255,000 Kyivans in the amount of UAH 146 million," reports the Department of Social and Veterans Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA).
The payments will be made by order of the Kyiv Mayor in accordance with the city targeted program "Turbota. Nazustrich Kyianam."
In particular, a one-time payment of UAH 1,000 will be received by: Group I disabled persons; children with disabilities; persons caring for severely ill children; orphan children; Righteous among Babyn Yar; rehabilitated victims of repression and their families; combatants on the territory of Afghanistan; parents and relatives of deceased conscripts.
Assistance in the amount of UAH 700 will be received by: other categories of persons with disabilities; children of deceased breadwinners; family members of those killed during combat operations on the territory of Afghanistan.
Also, UAH 500 each will be received by: persons who are not entitled to a pension; caregivers of persons with mental disorders; persons providing non-professional care social services; pensioners who have not acquired the right to a pension.
The Department notes that persons who are fully state-maintained are not recipients of assistance.
It is also emphasized that if a Kyivan simultaneously belongs to several categories, they will be credited one payment – in the highest amount.
