A protest action against the resignation of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Franko Square near the President's Office building in central Kyiv, which started on Thursday morning, continues.
As an Interfax-Ukraine agency correspondent reported, fewer than 200 people are standing in the southern part of the square, which overlooks the President's Office, chanting "Fedorov!", "Shame!", "We care", "We see everything, we are watching", and other slogans, holding cardboard placards calling for Fedorov to be kept in office.
About as many event participants have dispersed around the park in the square in front of the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre – some are resting on the lawn, while others are strolling along the paths.
Hundreds of placards made from cardboard packaging, which rally participants held when there were more of them, remain in the square; they have been laid out along parapets, fences, and lawns.
The rally is proceeding peacefully. Vehicular traffic, as before, has not been blocked. Dialogue Police are present on-site, and several dozen law enforcement officers have been spotted in surrounding blocks. The event is being covered by dozens of media representatives, both Ukrainian and foreign.
As reported, calls to gather for a rally against Fedorov's resignation began spreading on social networks on Wednesday evening. On Thursday morning, the event gathered around two thousand participants. The participants were predominantly young people.
