'Middle strike' attacks in April double compared to March – defense minister
Building up strike capabilities at distances of 20-150 km is leading to a twofold monthly increase in their number, Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said.
"A separate focus is middle strike. On the president’s instructions we are building up this direction. Strikes at distances of 20-150 km on enemy warehouses, headquarters, air defence and logistics deliver quick results for our units at the front. We already have results: in April, strikes at 20+ km doubled compared to March and quadrupled compared to February," Fedorov wrote on Telegram Tuesday.
He also reported on the development of military robotization, in particular through ground robotic systems, to preserve the lives of Ukrainian troops and enhance combat effectiveness. "In April, 10,281 logistics and evacuation missions were carried out using ground robotic systems – that is 367 missions per day," the minister said.
According to him, video-confirmed destruction or serious wounding of 35,203 Russian servicemen was recorded during April. "This means that for the fifth consecutive month Russia is losing more than it can mobilize and is gradually choking on its losses… Our goal is to achieve a level of enemy losses at which its further advance becomes impossible," Fedorov stressed.
