Zelenskyy on April results: over 35,000 Russian losses and Ukraine's long-range strikes double
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following reports from the defence minister and military, said Russia is suffering significant personnel losses every month, while Ukraine has significantly increased the number of strikes at distances exceeding 20 kilometres.
"There was a report from our military and the defence minister on April’s results. We have strong results in destroying the occupant. Russia suffers significant personnel losses every month, and for April over 35,000 killed and seriously wounded. There is clear confirmation for each strike… The number of mid-range strikes has also grown substantially. Strikes at distances of 20+ kilometres are now twice as many compared to March and four times as many compared to February," the president wrote on Telegram.
At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that the defence forces need to increase the number of robotic missions.
"In April, more than 10,200 logistics and evacuation missions were carried out by ground robotic systems, and this is a significant result. But on the scale of the front, significantly more such work is needed. Accordingly, ground robotic system contracting, production and supply to the troops must constantly grow. May must deliver higher figures, and this has been set as a target for the military and the Ministry of Defence. We will continue to increase production of all types of drones and robotic systems," the president stressed.
