132 combat engagements recorded at front over past day – General Staff
Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian defence forces positions 132 times since the start of the day, with the enemy most active on the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
"In total, 132 combat engagements have taken place since the start of the day. The enemy carried out a missile strike employing one missile, and 54 air strikes, dropping 175 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it employed 5,782 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,525 shellings of settlements and our troops’ positions," the statement said.
On the northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, one of five Monday engagements is still ongoing. The enemy conducted 65 shellings of settlements and Ukrainian troop positions, five of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
On the southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy launched four assaults on Ukrainian unit positions in the areas of Prylipka, Starytsia and Ambarne. One engagement is still ongoing.
On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance toward Lyman, Yampil and Ozerne. One engagement is still ongoing.
On the Sloviansk direction, the defence forces successfully repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Kryva Luka and Riznykivka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped two enemy attacks in the areas of Nykyforiivka and Viroliyubivka. One engagement is still ongoing.
The defense forces successfully repelled 12 enemy assaults on the Kostiantynivka direction near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka and Stepanivka. Two engagements are still ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 21 attacks. The occupants attempted to advance in the areas of Rodynske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka and Muravka.
"According to preliminary estimates, 52 occupants were eliminated and 16 wounded on this direction today; three motor vehicles and eight special vehicles were destroyed, two artillery pieces damaged, five motor vehicles, two artillery pieces and two drone command posts damaged. 194 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed," the statement said.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupants made seven attempts to improve their positions, attacking in the areas of Sichnevе, Yehorivka, Nove Zaporizhia and Zlahoda.
On the Huliaipole direction, ten occupant attacks took place in the areas of Zaliznychne, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Olenokostiantynivka, Yablukove, Sviatopetrivka, Charivne, Verkhnia Tersa and Vozdvyzhivska. One engagement is currently ongoing.
On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to advance in the area of Shcherbaky.
On the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped three assault actions toward Antonivka.
