IAEA finds damage following drone strike on Zaporizhia NPP laboratory

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has found equipment damage following a drone attack on a laboratory at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, the IAEA press service said.

"Today, the IAEA team visited the External Radiation Monitoring Laboratory of the Zaporizhia NPP, one day after the station was reportedly attacked by a drone. The team found damage to some of the laboratory’s meteorological monitoring equipment, which is no longer functioning," the agency said on social network X.

Director General Rafael Grossi reiterated his call for maximum military restraint near all nuclear facilities to avoid safety risks, the statement said.
