Klymenko: 14 Ukrainians killed, about 60 injured today
Since the start of the day, Russia has shelled Ukraine more than 70 times, with seven regions coming under attack; on Monday alone, 14 Ukrainians were killed and about 60 injured, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has said.
"Merefa in Kharkiv region suffered the most. An enemy strike there claimed the lives of seven people. In Vilniansk, Zaporizhia region, there was a hit on the territory of a church. Two parishioners were killed. At the same time, Russia continues attacks on energy facilities. Today, in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions. These are not accidental strikes, but a deliberate tactic of terror against the civilian population," he said on Telegram.
According to him, rescuers and police are evacuating the wounded, providing first aid, promptly extinguishing fires and clearing rubble.
Investigators are thoroughly documenting the consequences of the attacks.
The minister thanked "everyone who works without rest for the sake of justice and saving others."
