Kharkiv City Council approves municipal enterprise loans for specialized equipment and working capital

The Kharkiv City Council, during an extraordinary session on Monday, granted consent for municipal enterprises to obtain loans to purchase specialized equipment under special lending terms designated for frontline territories.

Lending will be facilitated through the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" with annual interest rates ranging from 1% to 3% for varying terms. Specifically, City Clinical Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 17, Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 18, and City Clinical Multidisciplinary Hospitals No. 25, No. 27, and No. 31 will receive loans to upgrade medical equipment.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov noted that a 1% annual rate applies to equipment purchases, while a 3% rate applies to the replenishment of working capital. He emphasized that such favorable conditions for frontline areas are unprecedented and essential for modernizing hospital facilities.

According to Terekhov, low-interest loans will also assist other municipal enterprises in maintaining stability during the upcoming heating season. The Complex for the Operation of Water Reduction and Storm Drainage Objects, Kharkiv-Signal, Trolleybus Depot No. 3, and Zhovtneve Tram Depot plan to secure loans for working capital and the purchase of generators. Additionally, the Municipal Waste Management Complex, Kharkivzhytlobud, the Kharkiv Repair and Construction Enterprise, and Kharkivspetsbud will utilize credit to acquire specialized machinery.
