Zelenskyy proposes Pashinyan hold next Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation meeting in Kyiv
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and proposed resuming the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. Zelenskyy suggested holding the commission’s next meeting later this year in Kyiv.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the regional situation as well as security challenges and threats. Zelenskyy provided information regarding diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a real peace and discussed the development of economic partnerships. He also expressed gratitude to Pashinyan for the invitation to the European Political Community summit.
Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of restoring active dialogue between the two nations, noting that this is the first visit by a Ukrainian president to Armenia in 24 years.
