Three-day mourning period declared in Merefa community for victims of missile strike

Merefa Mayor Vitaliy Sitov signed a decree declaring a three-day period of mourning from May 5 to May 7 in the community to honor the victims of the missile strike launched by Russia on the city on the morning of May 4.

As a sign of grief, the State Flag of Ukraine with a mourning ribbon will be flown at half-mast on buildings of local government bodies, enterprises, institutions, and organizations. During this period, all entertainment and concert events are prohibited across the community, and the playing of entertainment music in retail and catering establishments is banned.

As of 15:45, it is reported that six people were killed and 36 were injured, including a 2-year-old child.
