Russia attacks five Naftogaz facilities in Sumy and Kharkiv regions over past day – company head

Over the past 24 hours, Russia attacked five facilities belonging to the Naftogaz Group in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, resulting in the temporary suspension of production processes. Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyi reported that the strikes caused equipment damage and fires at the sites.

Specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Naftogaz Group are currently working on-site to minimize the consequences of the strikes. Koretskyi emphasized that the intensity of such attacks is increasing.

As previously reported, Russia has attacked Naftogaz Group facilities 96 times since the beginning of 2026 as of May 1.
