Nearly 170,000 families receive child assistance – Svyrydenko

Nearly 170,000 families have already received child assistance under the updated support system launched this year, according to Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. The assistance includes payments for pregnancy, childbirth, and the eYasla program.

Specifically, a one-time childbirth assistance payment of UAH 50,000 has been credited to nearly 28,000 women who have given birth since January 1, 2026. Additionally, nearly 20,000 women received pregnancy and childbirth assistance amounting to UAH 7,000 per month.

More than 114,000 families have received payments of UAH 7,000 per month for childcare up to one year of age. Furthermore, over 5,300 families have been credited with UAH 8,000 per month under the eYasla program.

The Prime Minister noted that the government continues to improve the system, allowing special accounts to be opened at Oschadbank since March. Work is currently being finalized to enable the processing of all child-related payments through the Diia platform using a single card. The government is also preparing a decision to revise the timeframe for using these funds.
