Share of air raid alerts during shopping mall operating hours at 16.2% in April – Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers
The share of time accounted for by air raid alerts during shopping mall operating hours in April 2026 decreased by 2.4 percentage points compared to March, to 16.2%, the lowest level since the beginning of the year; in April 2025, this figure was 10.3%, the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers reported.
All other indicators also improved overall (number of alerts, number of alerts during shopping mall operating hours, duration of alerts, duration of alerts during shopping mall operating hours).
The top five regions where air raid alerts most frequently occurred during shopping mall operating hours remained unchanged in April compared to March: Donetsk region (77.5%), Sumy region (63.3%), Zaporizhia region (45.3%), Kharkiv region (42.8%), and Chernihiv region (26.9%).
On average across Ukraine, forced downtime of shopping centers due to air raid alerts has reached 146.2 working days since the start of the full-scale invasion, and in April 2026 amounted to 3.8 working days.

Founded in 2020, the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers is a non-profit organization that brings together key participants in the commercial real estate market, including owners and developers of shopping centers, as well as companies involved in the construction and maintenance of malls.
