National Police conduct over 40 searches of TRC officials suspected of illicit enrichment

Law enforcement officers have carried out more than 40 investigative actions involving current and former senior officials of territorial recruitment and social support centers (TRC) across the country as part of an anti-corruption drive. The National Police of Ukraine reported that documented cases include illicit enrichment and false asset declarations totaling nearly UAH 92 million.

Among the key figures identified in the investigation is the head of a district TRC in Odesa, who allegedly acquired assets exceeding UAH 45 million during his tenure. Other documented discrepancies include a UAH 10 million gap in the declarations of an assistant to a head of a joint municipal TRC and UAH 6.6 million linked to a former recruiting officer at another district center.

The operation involved 44 searches conducted across 16 regions of Ukraine, targeting residences, offices, and vehicles. During these raids, officers seized Tesla vehicles, motorcycles, significant amounts of cash in various currencies, and various contracts, including an agreement for a UAH 1 million non-refundable grant that may have served to launder illegal proceeds.

In addition to the criminal proceedings, officials have filed more than 150 administrative protocols for corruption-related offenses over the past several days. These charges relate to violations regarding dual employment, financial control requirements, and conflicts of interest. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence for formal indictments.
