Sybiha and Kallas discuss next steps toward Ukraine's EU accession
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha has met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to discuss Ukraine’s progress toward European Union membership. Following the meeting, Sybiha stated that the parties focused on the importance of maintaining momentum and advancing concrete decisions on the path to EU accession, agreeing to remain in close coordination.
The minister informed the EU High Representative about the battlefield situation, noting that Ukraine is maintaining its defense and increasingly shifting the war to the territory of Russia. Sybiha also detailed the consequences of continuous drone and missile attacks by Russia targeting civilians and discussed ongoing peace efforts.
Additionally, the sides exchanged views on the regional situation in the South Caucasus. They emphasized the importance of holding the European Political Community summit in Yerevan as a clear signal of strengthening ties between Armenia and the European community.
